I had plans to go to our local super target this morning about mid-morning to get a couple of things. I was going to go just before Kendall's friend arrived, but not too early so that I could lounge around and drink extra coffee. Kendall's friend called just about the time I was planning to leave, asking if Kendall would come to her house today instead of her coming to ours. So, my plans to go to target could be delayed for another day.
Then, I hear that there was a shooting at that very target store this morning at 11:30. Apparently, a man came in and started firing shots and killed a woman. Then turned the gun on himself. The store has been on lock down since until they can confirm that there isn't another gunman. Details are still unclear.
I could have been in that store, in fact, I likely would've been in that store. If this was a random shooting, I could've been the woman dead. If not, I could've been stuck in the store all these hours with my kids at home alone. This whole possibility just freaks me out. Man, talk about things happening for a reason. I'll be giving extra thanks today in my prayers.
