Keith left for Marco Island, Florida on Friday. Kendall's soccer team was playing in a tournament in Greenville, NC this weekend. Justin got to stay with Ray's family while Kendall and I made a girls weekend out of the tournament. Greenville is about a two hour drive, most of it on non-interstate highways, making it a very pleasant trip. She played in two games on Saturday and one today (though we thought it was two games today). A friend from the team and her mom bunked with us in our room, which was fun. The team also had dinner out together Saturday night (a complete psychotic nightmare that I may share another time- but it was twilight zone weird) and then us roomies took the girls to the first free standing dippin' dots store we'd ever seen and let them get dessert. It was 97 degrees Saturday, the parents were melting, so I can't imagine how the girls must've felt in their BLACK jerseys, but they played all three games very well and lost the first, won the second and lost the third. I got a couple of great action shots of Kendall as well as a team photo.
We are glad to be home, in the air conditioning and clean...and it's back to school tomorrow for the final six weeks of the school year!
