Hip Therapy 101, a busted backflow system and 23 hours til the biggest loser finale

So, I have a physical therapist that I have seen twice now. He's been stretching the heck outta me and my hip seems to like it. He also has a wacky sense of humor that I totally get, so sessions go by pretty quickly and painlessly. I thought I'd be dismissed after today, now that I have eight "assigned" stretches to do, but I'm told to come back Friday with my sneakers on, so I guess more work is in store. We've noticed major differences in the strength of one leg versus the other, as well as tightness on the hurt side, which he says shows that I've been favoring that side for quite awhile. So glad I'm taking care of this. I may be cleared to resume all activity for next week! Yay!

Friday night, while Keith was away, many children were playing in our front yard at 9:45pm. Someone ran through our bushes and into our back flow plumbing to our sprinkler system and broke it, causing water to begin spewing from the pipes. They come in to alert me and I began the process of trying to figure out how to turn off the system's water source (something every adult living in the house should know, by the way). The kids go scrambling for help from any neighbor who would answer the door and before you know it, there are nine adults and a lot of kids trying to get this thing turned off. After 10 minutes or so of water waste, the valve is found underground (in the dark by flashlight- so fun). Keith (being in California) returns my message at 1a.m. ET to learn the scoop. He informs me that he's pretty sure he knows what broke and that it is going to be a several hundred dollars fix, unfortunately :( Michael, the kid who hit the pipes, was uninjured but very sorry to cause all this ruckus. How do you keep kids out of the bushes when they are so wrapped up in a game? We must find a way... barbed wire, perhaps?!

Lastly, and definitely most excititng, is the fact that, in less than 24 hours, the biggest loser finale will be on and I will be watching!! My friends have been hobnobbing with all the BL's past and present and claim to have lots of scoop to share when they are back in the 'hood. They said the transformations are unbelievable. They've been face booking updates all weekend and if I could snap my fingers and be there, I would be. I found out Keith was on the same flight with them early Friday morning as he headed to SF and they headed to LA. If only it were me heading west this time and not Keith.....
