Happy June

I haven't blogged in the past week. My mom & Riad were in town from Tuesday til this morning, so I have been away from the computer much of the time. I worked last Tuesday and Thursday and took my mom to my office to clean her teeth on Wednesday...it was fun as we got tickled several times with eachother. It turned out to be a three hour appointment, but a fun one. Mom & Riad moved from hotel to our house on Friday and stayed for the weekend, leaving this morning for Virginia Beach. Mom (a great cook), treated us to home cooked dinners during their three nights here. I really appreciated that, I felt almost like I was on vacation. We went out on the lake Saturday afternoon. Riad tubed with Justin, then Keith and Justin tubed together followed by Kendall (she wanted to go alone) and then, get this...
my mom and I tubed together! It was hysterical and FUN. After a break from tubing and some time at the beach, Justin and I went tubing together. Keith gave us a wild ride and it was a blast. I think he was impressed that I could hang with it! We went airborn a few times and he was able to swing (or sling) us around a whole bunch. I was slightly sore yesterday but it was so worth it! Yesterday, we went to church, lunch and then visited a model home in a nearby neighborhood. This place was 9,500 square feet, 2,700 of it in a basement that would be any man's dream...poker room, media room, pool table, air hockey, fooseball, a wine tasting room, bar and movie theatre. It took us a good hour and a half to get through it all. I couldn't imagine trying to clean a house that size, or attempting to find any of my family in a house that size, but it was fabulous.
The kids track back in to school this Wednesday. Three more weeks of this school year, most of it will be testing (unfortunately), and things like field day and parties. After the week of July 4 off, they'll start their next school year! I can't believe they are going to be 4th and 3rd graders!
Okay, that was a lot of updating in one post, but when you go a week in between posting, there is lots to update on.
