Happy Memorial Weekend

If a Saturday could start off right, today was it! With a sleepover in progress, I was able to sleep in til 9am. Ususally sleepovers render children waking at 6:30 asking for their pancakes, but not today. Wow, I can't remember the last time I slept til 9am, what a treat. It is cloudy and breezy and CHILLY (our high is forcast for only70 today), I'm wondering if the clouds have tricked the children into sleeping longer. I haven't heard a peep from Ray & Justin yet. Kendall got up at 9:30. I was making pancakes and bacon at that time. Her guest, Hannah, made it til 11pm last night, but has come back this morning to join us for breakfast. They have plans to play together most of today and then go to church together this evening; we go to the same church and Hannah's mom volunteers on Saturday evenings feeding the volunteers who help run Saturday services.
Keith is in Charlotte this weekend for the Nascar Race. Since his company began sponsoring the 07 car, he has had to be there during race weekend. (Hanging with the drivers and crews in the pits, tough job!!) It isn't the same without him here over a holiday weekend, but, he'll be back Monday and we are going to take the boat out for the afternoon/evening. Today, I'm cleaning my car and tomorrow the GARAGE! A big, BIG chore as it is badly needed. I am actually very much looking forward to it.
