Howdy all! The kids returned to school today and came out the doors smiling. I think they are happy to be back and see the classmates they didn't see while tracked out. It's tough to get back into the grind. I found myself at 2.5 hours til bedtime still getting dinner finished and homework not complete, never mind us needing to eat, shower, get teeth cleaned and all that fun bedtime stuff. We made it though.
It is HOT. Where did our gorgeous 70's go? I believe it hit 97 today and is supposed to do the same for the next three days. Watching swim practice tonight was sweltering, though the water is much more comfortable for the kids. Maybe next time I'll jump in too.
I worked 3/4 of a day today. It's usually a day off for me, but my schedule is booking out and they are wanting a few extra hours. I don't enjoy the three days in a row! Granted, it was only 9-2 straight through, but that leaves no time to get things done around the house before I work again tomorrow. Thankfully, they are interviewing a hygienist friend of mine on Monday to do any extra hours beyond Tuesday and Thursday. I'm thankful for that as I'm afraid I wouldn't be interested in keeping up with a three day work week!
I forgot to mention in previous posts, and maybe only you scrapbooking types will understand...
but, the Sunday evening of Memorial weekend, I got back to scrapping. As always, I get so into it and enjoy seeing the progress that I become partially obsessed. I have completed all of 2007, updated the Christmas album I keep and am doing a seperate album for our trip to Arizona last August (since I took 300+ photos) and will probably have room to also scrap our February Florida trip and this will be a vacation album on it's own. I am jamming on it and having so much fun. So, if you are receiving fewer emails from me lately, this is why!! I'm sorry but I can't help myself.
