Susan G Komen Race For The Cure

Some of Team Tiny Ta-Ta's decided to walk the susan komen race this morning.
There were 30,ooo participants!

This is approaching the starting line.
It was a gorgeous morning, humidity fairly low and a breeze to greet us as we started the Susan G Komen Race For The Cure. What better way to spend my first morning as a 39 year old?
My next door neighbor and friend, Wendy, joined us. It happens to be the one year anniversary of her double mastectomy and she is cancer free. How cool is that, to participate in a breast cancer walk on the anniversary of your mastectomy...not many can say that. In honor of this anniversary, she is having a little shin-dig this evening at her home. We can't wait to celebrate with her! The evening will include a BOOB CAKE, specially made for the occasion (it will be wearing a bra, as kids will be present). What a great morning, it was so worth getting up at 5:30 on a Saturday to do something like this with good friends. I can't imagine what Charlotte will be like when we are doing our Avon event in October, but I can't wait!
