(for the kids anyway)....
Today was the last day of school! I drove young people here and there all afternoon before finally settling in to a little bit of pretzles and buffalo dip & a glass of wine. (buffalo dip was something I discovered last night at the soccer party and it is SO yummy that I made some tonight for my dinner!- Keith is out of town, Kendall is at a sleepover and Justin wanted cereal, so don't judge)...;-)
I had the most glorious, shortened day at work (summer hours- out by 3)...the kids walked to YOLO & McDonald's after school with friends, then the mom-taxi began. Picked up a car load of boys and then a bit later, Miss K. Grabbed a shower and then carted her to a friends house for a sleepover part-ay. I expect a bonfire will occur shortly as girls have been calling here asking Justin to please have a bonfire tonight.
Thankful that I don't have work tomorrow! I am SO excited to not have to wake up at 6 tomorrow. The birds will probably wake me as usual, but at least it won't be an alarm clock and I don't have to get up, but can lay in bed for a few minutes.
So thankful for another successful year, while at the same time dumbfounded that I could possibly have a seventh and eighth grader. Where has the time gone??
