As you know, Sarah's husband, Tom, was deployed to Afghanistan last November for a year of service flying Apache Helicopters for the Army. He arrived home on Friday night! What a Thanksgiving present, huh? We received updates from Pam on his status as we were in Ohio and she and Dave were with Sarah in Tennessee. He was delayed a bit and from what we understand, spent nearly a week in an airport in Afghanistan waiting for their flight. As frustrating as that must've been, the important thing is he is home safely now and we are all so grateful for answered prayers for his safety and that he and Sarah survived an entire year apart. Most importantly, I feel it imperative to thank him again for his service to our country, for putting his life on the line for the citizens of the United States of America.
