The announcement of Bobby Bowden's retirement is met with sadness in the Woolery house tonight. Keith is truly in mourning. He was very hopeful that Bowden would stay one more season so as not to go out after such a poor season. It seems that the option was not given as expected in that it was to be his decision and not that of the university. As it turns out, the university gave him the option of staying one more season, but with reduced responsibilities :(
Bobby Bowden is all Keith has known in his seminole life, so it's going to be a big change. We really feel he is a class act and a great human being, not to mention a great football coach.
Though it won't be the same without him, we'll carry on being crazy seminoles just the same. But, the occasion warranted acknowledgement, even though the occasion is a sad one.
