we're back from Ohio

we were in Ohio this past weekend visiting Keith's family, we got back last night. it was nice to get away and see family, the kids always LOVE that. i don't know if it's my age now, but the ride seems so-o-o-o long. anyhow, we made it there and back. keith and justin played golf with keith's dad one day, we went to the park one blustery and very chilly afternoon, attended church, played games and on mother's day, went out for a late lunch/early dinner. for mothers day, i received some wonderful gifts! justin (with grandpa's help) carved a duck out of wood, sanded and then stained it. the duck is looking up with it's neck stretched long so it can hold my rings. kendall weaved a pot holder for me, it is pink and purple and gorgeous. both gifts i will treasure forever, i love them! i also received from justin, kendall and keith a gift to go have a manicure and pedicure which of course i can't wait to use :)

today is the last day of track out for the kids. they are relishing their last day of "freedom" before going back to complete their last six weeks of this school year. i got to visit my office first thing this morning to have my three crowns finished up. after eleven hours in the dental chair over three visits, i'm done. i'm certain there will be another "ground beef" healing process to go through once i'm no longer numb, but at least it's the last time (whew).
