Coming home to find gifts and decorations!Kendall turned 10 today!! Never to return to single digits again!! Seems like yesterday that she was born- I think I can hear her bobcat-like screams in my not-so-distant-memories!! Today was a day that was so insanely busy that we had to work very hard to have dinner together (bean burritos, her request) and vanilla cake with vanilla icing topped with red-tinted sugar sprinkles (her choice, which she helped make on Monday). It was school, open gifts, homework, eat burritos, football practice (Justin & Keith)/ meet the teacher night at middle school (me)/Caroline to hang with Kendall, walk the dog we are pup-sitting (a cute, but mangy fellow that I'm no longer enjoying so much), cake and singing, showers/teeth/tuck in. I literally sat for the first time today at 9:45pm. Thankfully, Lucky (the dog), has his family returning Thursday. It is a LOT of work babysitting a dog, especially one who slobbers every time he sees you, which then requires multiple showers a day. Yuk.
Happy Birthday to my precious little lady! You have brought us 10 years of joy and laughter and we all love you (and all of your alter egos that you entertain us with) so much!

Happy birthday, Kendall! We were all thinking about you on your special day. We have a little gift for you, but it's been sitting on the counter for a week now! We'll send it off this week, though! Love you!
