Weekend With The Deibels

Keith was out of town attending the Nascar Race in Charlotte and it turns out that my good friend Challie from Richmond was home alone this weekend while her husband attended a guys golf weekend...so...we thought it would be great to get together again with the kids. They had a long weekend from school, so they drove down Friday afternoon and spent two nights with us. The kids kept themselves busy Friday afternoon and evening playing while Challie and I got caught up on family life, school and all that good stuff. We then made tacos for supper, played a couple of games with the kids and then drank a couple glasses of Pinot Noir before retiring for the night.

Saturday was an early day as the kids football/cheer was at 9:30 in Raleigh. It was good that it gave us a full day to play afterwards. We headed home and hung out before going to the school playground and neighborhood park where we chased the kids in a semi game of tag, played wiffle ball with the boys and enjoyed our walk in the woods to and from the park. Challie (a very talented yoga instructor) taught me several poses to help keep my muscles flexible prior to and during my walk in two weeks.

After dinner, we played Clue, a very chaotic game of clue and then the kids watched a movie.

This morning before they departed, we made pancakes (chocolate chip for the kids, berry for the moms) and watched a concert that Sean and Justin put on for us under the band name The Raiders.

Challie made these tie-dyed shirts for her girl scout troop and decided to make some for Justin, Kendall and Sean; so here they are modeling them this morning.
