I am attending my first out of town dental conference in 11 years! My boss has signed the office up for a two day class in Charlotte on dental practice management. We leave this afternoon and return on Saturday night. He promised wonderful accomodations and great meals (to lure us into agreeing to give up our free time on a Friday and Saturday). His wife (who is our office manager) will go and then it will be me, Allie and Ann. We're going to look at it as a girls weekend getaway cause Allie, Ann and I will get to spend lots of time together.
Keith takes over as Mr. Mom at 4:30 this afternoon and will get the kids to and from school tomorrow and then to football/cheerleading on Saturday.
It's strange because as a mom, I've never left town for work reasons, for 9.5 years. But, being that the kids are now 8 and 9, I'm sure they will all do just fine without me. And, I'll get some credit hours of continuing education for my license, paid for by my boss.
I'll be sure to post after returning home to say how wonderful it all was!!
