Night-time With A New Pup, it's not for everyone

Can you say "sleep deprivation"? Night one, I was sleep deprived while everyone else slept soundly. Bowden was in his crate, howling and crying like a maniac, so after an hour or so, I couldn't take it and brought him to bed where Keith promptly left the bed! (Lesson learned) Night two, we were ready to face the training ahead and have him go all night in his crate; regardless of what kinds of noise he made...and did he make noise! Every hour or two, he'd cry and whine for about 20 minutes. Kendall was awakened each time as were Keith and I. The three of us spent most of the night together in one bed. I was encouraged by friends who claimed that night one was the worse and it would get much better from there. So, at bedtime, we armed our kids with the white noise of an air purifier in each of their rooms and a portable fan in the hallway outside ours. Bowden did well until maybe 1am after getting tucked in at 11pm. After that, I'm not sure if he ever let up. Kendall woke up again (it was also lightening) and so Keith put her in bed with me, moved the air purifier to our room, shut the door and endured the long night of doggie noise alone in our guest room. Poor guy! How is he going to make it through the day today with no sleep? I'm grateful for the sleep I got since I work today. But, man, I hope tonight little Bowden "gets it" and actually sleeps some or we are going to be walking zombies! Just had to share my pain, thanks for listening ;-)
