Back From Tennessee

We arrived home from our weekend in Tennessee on Monday evening, just in time to get ready for a work day. I didn't sleep especially well while away 'cause I let the kids take a turn in the bed with me each night while the other had a futon bed to themselves (they aren't willing to sleep together anymore). I got stabbed with Justin's toenail all night when he was with me and Kendall had me awake with every turn as she was always too close to the edge of the bed: fell out once and went off the edge another time, but I was able to catch her before she plummeted head first to the floor. My point in telling this is that I went to bed early Monday night and slept SO well, Keith didn't have the heart to move me to one side of our bed and so slept in the guest room last night. I did get a good nights sleep too :) Boy, did I need that night of good sleep, today was a challenge in the way of patients. If they were unable to lay back, unable to open their mouth, had sensitive teeth, lots of saliva and terrible brushing habits, they were on my book today. Oh, let me add, STRONG GAG REFLEX to that!!

Anyway, our weekend in Nashville was fun. We went to the community pool on Friday and I discovered I am a great swimmer! At least my mom says so. I used her goggles and swam many laps in freestyle and breast stroke; til my triceps were burning-and I don't mean from the sun. My mom and I went off the high dive! It was scary!! 13 feet in the air, yikes. Justin was begging us to do it, so we did. But, once was enough. We had a fantastic time and I have photos to prove it. It was hotter than blue blazes and humid, so we limited our time outside from then on. We took in a movie, made a couple of trips to the park in the evening hours, walked a couple of evenings, went to church and out for icecream at sonic. My moms cooking was amazing as usual. She had banana pudding waiting when we arrived (Justin's favorite grandma specialty). She also made my favorite meal request: pinto beans, buttermilk corn bread and scalded lettuce

Yu-u-u-u-my.
