Can't believe we are already five days into the new year. Seems like it was Halloween last week, now here we are past Thanksgiving and Christmas, into a new year...
We are putting the remaining tidbits of decor away today, which will entail plenty of trips up two flights of stairs to the attic storage space. Something my legs are dreading since I was over-zealous with squats during my most recent workout ;-)
After that, we are in for a nice quiet weekend, as Keith appears to be under the weather. He returned from Charlotte yesterday with no voice! He has never lost his voice in the 22 years I have known him. Though he sounds very cute this way, and I am very jealous as I have never lost my voice and think it would be so cool to sound super raspy (temporarily!!), he is now coughing and blowing his nose a bunch. Thankfully, we have nothing major on the menu, so we can take it easy- a novel idea! We will probably leave him behind tomorrow and go to church, but other than that, hang around. Oh, Kendall has a sleepover she's going to tonight, but that doesn't involve us since it's at another house :)
My main goal for the weekend is to wake up Monday morning with a meal plan for the week and a grocery list to make those meals possible. I've been working on this since yesterday. I haven't gotten very far. I can't seem to decide what to make. Too many options! That's a good problem to have... but I seriously need to come up with a plan. I hate flying by the seat of my pants because it almost always leads to bad choices. I ought to get off this blog post and on to my pen and paper and start making some decisions. This is why after all afternoon yesterday, my meal plan is still incomplete!!!!
Here are a couple of photos from Christmas morning. Notice it is daylight outside!! This is the first year the kids haven't been up before the sun on a Christmas morning! The one of them hugging after exchanging gifts from each other is a favorite of mine!
Well, I guess I ought to get busy doing something more productive. Just been savoring a quiet morning and a delicious cup of coffee before moving about. Wishing you a happy Saturday and Happy New Year!!!
