We were up at 6 this morning and on the road to Greensboro for the state cup tournament this weekend. So thankful it was close enough that we could commute and sleep in the comfort of our own beds last night and tonight.
This tournament is all about bragging rights within the state of North Carolina. If you win, you are essentially state champions in your age bracket/gender.
I was a little concerned when I saw that our game today would be against a team we play every season. They have a history of winning in our games against each other. Today was a very well played, tough match that ended in a 0-0 tie. Because the game ended in a tie, they had to play two 10 minute overtimes. In the first 10 minutes, our team scored :) There was no score in the second 10 minutes, so we came out victorious!!
This means we play in the championship game tomorrow at noon!! Kendall has had two of her favorite team- mates over all afternoon celebrating with water balloon fights, indoor hide n seek, dancing, trampoline jumping and watermelon eating.
