How did eleven years go by already?!?! We celebrated Justin turning 11 today. As we did with Keith yesterday, Justin got to chose what we had for dinner. His menu was: cheeseburgers on the grill, baked beans and corn on the cob with (you'll never guess)...chocolate cake with caramel icing. Yep, two nights in a row we had identical birthday cakes. When I made the recipe for chocolate cake, I baked them in two round pans and instead of using both to layer the cake, I made them into two separate cakes and then just had to make the same icing two days in a row. After school and guitar lessons this afternoon, Justin played a little guitar for us, then played some bball with Keith while I finished up dinner. Then we ate, sang, had cake and opened presents. He got his wish list pretty well fulfilled from us- an air soft semi-automatic rifle and an air soft pistol with a holster and plenty of ammo. His party on Saturday will be at an air soft playing field with eight buddies to battle with- he is very excited. Enjoy the few snapshots of our evening with the birthday boy!
