Headed to the beach

Wednesday will find the four of us headed to Wrightsville Beach for five days of sun, sand and relaxation! We have a short break before the "new" school year begins, we felt like the kids deserved a getaway. Unfortunately, Kendall isn't allowed to get water in her ear! She has a bad case of swimmer's ear, along with approximately 50 other children in our neighborhood (no, I am not joking). Apparently, the pool management company hasn't been doing their job properly and with swim team & the heavy use of the pool, it has become bacteria laden and is causing all sorts of illness for those who have been using it. YUK, I know. We have antibiotic drops to use and will get some ear plugs for her to use. We were even instructed by her doctor to use a blow dryer (gently) to dry the ear canal. Doesn't that sound fun for all?! Anyway, enjoy your holiday weekend and I'll be posting again after we return on Sunday.
