there's a party going on

A cake and some decorations turned our home into a celebration zone this evening as Justin and his two favorite NC friends start their sleepover in honor of Justin's 10th birthday.

Kendall has Kelly over to play, we invited her to stay for dinner and cake as well.

Justin decided he'd like to light his own candles this year.

And everyone watches him get the job done.

Singing happy birthday!

He gets them all blown out in ONE, GIANT breath :-)

A little while earlier at Justin's basketball game. This little toddler LOVES Kendall. Without bleachers in the way, she is finally able to climb upon her lap. Kendall loves it! She's going to be a great babysitter one day.

On the bench during the game.

This is Ray's dad, Dave along with Andrew who came with his son Michael to watch the game. Justin's team beat Michael's on Wednesday, but they are all friends, so Michael wanted to come support his friends as they played each other.

Ray's mom, Julie and Ray's sisters Kendra and Carrissa, who are home from college this weekend.

Terrible picture of me, but if you'll notice in the background...Kelly and Kendall are practicing their multiplication facts. I didn't know this til I saw the photo, but thought that was very funny!

A half time huddle and words of encouragement from Coach Bo.

Look at that boy hustle!

We had a short get together to present our coaches with a token of thanks and to give the boys trophies for a season played with heart, character and great sportsmanship.

Someone had a cake made with a screen print of the team photo. Great season, Heat! They really played as a team this year. Unfortunately, they didn't win tonight. They played well and never gave up, though they trailed the entire game. We had neighbors come out to watch the game just to support Justin and Ray. Isn't that nice? I know all the boys had a great time this season. Their coach was just phenominal as an encourager and teacher. I hope he's around next season, I know the other parents feel the same way.
So; game over, party on. As soon as we returned home, we got to the sleepover portion of the night. The boys are having fun. I just hope the game wore them out enough that sleep will soon overtake them!!
