Well, today was the day. Justin got his brackets placed. He did really well but was upset at the idea of having to go to school immediately after having them placed, not knowing if he would be hurting during the day. We let him have the day off to adjust to the feel of them and eating with them. He has done wonderfully and his attitude about the whole situation is awesome! He ate lunch without getting lots of debris stuck in the brackets and is only mildly sore. He is ready to take on school tomorrow and seems quite confident. Helping this is the news that the orthodontist believes this will be a three month stint and he will be able to get everything off and go into retainers until age 12 when the full treatment will occur. Here is a photo of his new look. I think braces suit him, he looks so handsome!

You're right, he looks GREAT--I definitely think the braces suit him. What a lot his mouth has been through this year! Love ya!
