One Week Of School Down...

We have officially ended the first week of school for the 08-09 school year. It was successful. Due to a new school being built nearby, our student population has lowered from 1,100 to 700. Most of those students were driven by parents in past years, so traffic is much less, bus noise is much lower and we love it! (Being directly across the street from the school allows us to hear and see it all, and when mommy drivers are running late, LOOK OUT, they fly down the road, refusing to stop for anyone)...
The kids enjoyed their teachers and classes and those teachers wasted no time in getting right to it, homework and all. But, with only a week in between school years, the kids seemed to think nothing of it so no complaints were heard and homework was completed without hassle.
Now it is Friday afternoon, the kids are unwinding from the week and ready to enjoy their weekend. Hair cuts are on tap for Saturday (if you've seen recent photos I've posted, you'll notice some unruly hair) followed by church and then a boat ride on Sunday. Hope all of you enjoy your weekend as well!
