Field Trips and Hockey Sticks

Today was an eventful day in our household. Kendall had to report to school 1.5 hours early for a second grade field trip to the Zoo. It was a very exiting trip as they chartered buses for the hour and a half trip to Asheboro (with movies AND bathrooms on board!). They arrived back home at 5pm, after school was out for the day. I brought her and her best friend, Kristen, here for some unwind playtime. The ice cream truck came through and the girls chased it down the road (with success) to buy a spiderman bar. The photo included is after they consumed the ice cream and it's gumball eyes- note messy faces. They also made individual pizzas before heading down the street to a neighbors house to jump on the trampoline. Needless to say, Kendall was zonked by 8pm!

My boys headed to a Carolina Hurricanes hockey game. They played Tampa Bay, so I am torn as to who I'd like to see win! It's 10 pm and they aren't back yet (and yes, it is a school night)...

Justin wore his expensive "authentic" jersey from last year that he won't wear anywhere else but the handful of games he's attended. Let's hope we can wake him for school tomorrow without much hassle!

I finished up my challenging patient today. I have gone in to the office on Wednesdays twice now to see a sweet, grateful man who had never been to the dentist and is in his mid thirties. My schedule on Tuesday and Thursday was booked until mid July and I was happy to come in to see him as it allowed me all the time I needed without worrying about someone else waiting for me. My hands are worn out, but I look forward to seeing great improvement in his oral health the next time we meet.

After a nice day today, we are expecting three more days of rain. The good news is, we are allowed once again to run our irrigation systems on our assigned days. Looks like we are recovering from our drought! What a nice change it has been to see rain over these last couple of weeks, when it was almost completely absent since early July. I am thankful.

Looks like a fun day at the Woolery household! I think it's great that you and Keith do so many one-on-one things with your kids. Dad told me about your patient a while back; congrats on finishing things up with him. I bet he's grateful to have snagged such a sweet hygienist!
