It ended up raining most of today, a steady but light drizzle to heavier showers. We welcome it to help our drought, but it did prevent a good long walk from happening.
The kids caught up with friends and managed basketball and bikes when there were breaks in the rain, but mostly played inside. Ray and Justin dusted for me to earn some money, then talked Julie (Ray's mom) into taking them to target to buy pokemon cards. We invited Ray and Kendall's friend Kristen to stay for dinner and a movie. They all wanted sleepovers, but it's difficult on Saturday nights, as we leave at 8:30am for church...that doesn't mesh well with 3am bedtimes! We had spaghetti, green beans, pink lemonade and the most insanely HUGE chocolate chip cookies; a meal right up a kid's alley, eh? They are now watching UNDERDOG. Suprisingly, they are all actually watching it. My kids often don't sit for a movie unless it is in the theater, they get sidetracked and end up playing within a few minutes of the start of a movie.
