Having his cake and eating it too!

It's been awhile since I've blogged. Life got hectic there for a week or so. The weather was nice last week, we were outside much of the time. It's birthday season, soccer season, I'm walking a whole lot...throw in a couple of days of work, a day or two of volunteering and there just isn't always time to blog. We grilled out with neighbors Friday evening, Keith treated me to BEER (a rarity since brown-forman doesn't have beer), it was Corona and he even splurged for a lime! Then on Saturday, another neighbor threw a suprise 40th birthday party for his wife- a year early- that was the suprise! It was a packed house and tons of fun to catch up with everyone. Sunday was another long walk at the park, the day was gorgeous, a great one to walk. I worked a little on Monday and spent the remainder of the day getting ready for my mom to visit. She came with Riad on a business trip. This evening after work, I made a bundt cake (new recipe) that called for Kaluha. I used Amarula since we had some at the house. Justin glazed it for me and then wanted to take a photo of it so we could put it on the blog. Mom & Riad came over for dessert this evening. I'm picking her up in the morning to hang out for the day while Riad works and the kids are in school.
