A day at Cedar Point...all about thrill rides

Keith and I were in Lake Tahoe while the kids were with Keith's parents at their home in Ohio.  When we returned, our plan was to head up to Cleveland and take the kids to Cedar Point for the day. The night before leaving the Woolery's, Justin & Kendall had watched youtube videos on all the coasters and were looking forward to taking on each and every one of them.

We arrived, checked into our hotel which was literally adjacent to the park and right on Lake Eerie.  We walked from hotel to entrance to the park right along the lakefront.  It was a chilly 67 degree day with clouds and spits of rain now and then.  This made the park completely uncrowded which was awesome.  The fact that no sweating would occur was a huge bonus!  In fact, we all had on sweatshirts!

The kids and Keith rode every coaster in that park along with a couple of thrill rides that weren't coasters.  I rode one wooden roller coaster and the scrambler :)  (rides and I don't get along so well these days)

They had a blast and I had a blast watching, taking pictures and hearing all about the rides.

The first picture is of the biggest thrill ride in the park.  The TOP THRILL DRAGSTER.  I couldn't even look at it without getting sweaty palms.  Kendall was so enthusiastic about it, the boys excited but slightly apprehensive.  There was  small stadium seating to watch this ride.  As the three of them were on, I started to cry.  It was so freakishly scary looking that I was scared for my family.  Only a lap bar held them in place.  It was a straight climb up 430 FEET!  Then straight back down.  Someone was going to fall out.  I just knew it.

Of course no one did.  Of course they loved it.  Of course they rode it again.  Six times at least for the kids.  Keith stopped after the second time on it.

They conquered them all.  They loved every minute of it.  It was an awesome family day!
This one traumatized me...
