Cruise!

Happy Anniversary, Wooleries! Sixty years!!

As we got settled in, we first headed to the pool deck
where the kids (Keith included) rode the slides!

Father & Son.

Headed to an anniversary dinner. This is in the atrium
of the ship.

Again, father & son. Enjoying the peace of
the ocean.

Keith & I getting romantic on our balcony.
We enjoyed this balcony so much. Notice
our eyes wide open :)

Our family at dinner the first night. Poor Kendall is sick.

Celebrating sixty years with singing and a kiss!

Sick Kendall getting love from G & G.

Getting ready to explore the Bahamas with a walk through
town and a visit to the beach.

The water was beautiful, but very chilly. I didn't make it
in past my knees, but these three swam and snorkled.

Kendall with one of our towel animals (changing each night).

Mini golf on the top deck of the ship!

Justin & Kendall racing on the slides.

My favorite picture. Our last night, in the open waters,
on our balcony watching the sun set. Florida is off in the
distance somewhere....beautiful night.

I am so thankful for our safe travels to and from Port Canaveral, Florida as well as our safe cruise with very calm waters. Everyone enjoyed themselves, even Kendall in her sickness made the best of it. (She ran a fever off and on and developed a nasty cough that choked her to the point of vomiting during the night twice)

We boarded the ship on the anniversary date of mom & dad Woolery's 60th, had lunch, sunned on the deck and then had a champagne toast in our rooms at 7:30 pm- the time of their wedding 60 years earlier. After that, we went to dinner where the dining room sang to them. We had a lovely dinner and then took in our first show of the cruise, a variety type, introducing us to what was available on board during our time on the ship. We then played bingo with the chance to win $500, which of course we didn't :)

The next morning, we awoke to the sight of land in the distance. I could make out the Atlantis resort by the shape of the hotel's different buildings. We had breakfast and spent some time on the pool decks before heading out to explore both the town and the beaches. The water was COLD! Surprisingly so. I couldn't get in past my knee's. It was also rocky. But, we had a great afternoon visiting and exploring.

We re-boarded the ship in time to get ready for dinner. It was lobster night :) I was excited to have lobster and told our waitress I had planned to eat 10 tails, but I was only able to handle two. We went to a show after dinner that was PG 13 and Kendall asked to leave after a lineup of girls in G-strings came out. I took both kids back to our stateroom and Keith and his parents stayed for the show. We all fell asleep early- so exhausted- until Kendall vomited. It took until 1:45am to get sheets changed and everyone else fell asleep while I waited for the bed to be ready for the kids again. Not so fun :(

The beds were so comfortable though. We slept docked at Nassau that night and pulled away at 6am to spend a day at sea traveling back to Florida. We enjoyed our balcony a great deal that day, I finally got to spend some time reading my book, we played miniature golf, and spent some time on the pool deck again. The kids did lots of slide races this last day.

Keith and I went to the show that was on before dinner, while Kendall slept and Justin showered, and Keith's parents hung out with the kids. The show was a tribute to 80's music. It was so fun! Dancing, costumes, live music and great music at that! We met the rest of the crew for our 8pm dinner and then headed to bed early, as we were to reach port at 7am Sunday.

We passed a ship early in the morning, in a gentle fog, before docking which was so cool to see. Getting off the ship was pretty easy and straight-forward and we were soon on the road heading north on 95 to Savannah. This was a half-way point for us and we stopped for the night. While there, we enjoyed a great italian sidewalk cafe for dinner and Paula Deen's "Lady & Son's" restaurant for an early lunch Monday before heading home.

What a great trip. Can't wait to do it again, hopefully with everyone at 100 % health!!
