Can you say "SICK AS A DOG" ?

That would describe me these past five days, unfortunately. And if that weren't bad enough, I shared it with the boys in my life. We could open our own pharmacy at this point!

I started feeling ill Wednesday, with a wheezing cough and headache. By Wednesday night, I was running a temperature at 102. By Thursday at 3pm, I felt like death and was running a 104-105 temp.

Keith and Kendall were heading to Myrtle Beach for a tournament on Friday and by noon, he talked me into a visit to the doctor because he didn't feel comfortable leaving me in the condition I was in. Thank the Good Lord I did. I can't imagine how I would have deteriorated with no adult to take me anywhere for help. I have the flu and pneumonia.

For the first time in many, many years, I am a fan of drugs!!!!! Miracle workers, they are!!!! I was mostly fever free by Saturday evening and stayed out of bed for three hours at a time during the day. And though I am completely weak and worthless, I am improving.

So, Kendall' s tournament was played in the rain all Saturday. They won both games in shutouts. The entire team got up and to the field this morning at 7:30, with it pouring again, to find the day cancelled due to weather. Her team won their age division, so went home with the trophy!

Keith drove home, came in the door shivering and with that look of death in his eyes. Justin also woke up not feeling well, and coughing. Both got back in the car for a visit to urgent care. They got care before things could turn to pneumonia, but both have bronchitis and Keith has the flu :(
Justin was the only family member to get the flu shot this year. Guess what? We are all getting one next year. Because Keith caught it at the bronchitis stage, he gets this narcotic cough suppressant. Once it kicked in he proceeded to entertain us with nonsensical chatter as we hung out in the bed for a few minutes before he passed out!

We are the blind leading the blind at this point, but at least we are all together again. I feel terrible that Keith had to drive almost four hours feeling ill and I have incredible guilt about taking Kendall on a cruise sick, because she very well could have had what we all have now. Because if you had tried to put me on a boat or in a car for a ten hour drive the way I've felt these past few days, I think I would've jumped overboard. She is the most amazing trooper of a little girl, because she never complained. Bless her heart!
