I am in the throes of packing and getting all of our stuff together to depart on Wednesday to drive south. Thursday is the day we hop on a big boat for our CRUISE!!
I am not yet excited because I am doing the brunt of the work at this point. Laundry, shopping for flip flops for the kids, packing appropriate attire for the kids, gathering travel size toiletries, collecting documents and printing off boarding information. Oh, and packing for myself.
You may ask why I don't let the kids pack for themselves? I did that about six months ago for Kendall when traveling to a tournament. She ended up with about half of what she needed and was angry with me for what was missing, even though she insisted on doing her own packing. I don't want to be on a boat with someone only having sneakers to wear (not the most attractive with a swimsuit)...or someone with no underwear :)
But, the purpose of this short blog is not to lament on packing woes. It is to let you all know that the next time you hear from me it will be with photos of a wonderful anniversary cruise for my in laws, complete with stories of our adventures, how the kids enjoyed their first trip to the Bahamas, what we saw when snorkeling in the beautiful blue waters, how many lobsters I consumed on the ship (one of the things I am most excited about!), and how none of us got seasick!!
We leave on Wednesday and begin cruising on Thursday. We will be back home on Monday evening. So, for now, I must say, Bon Voyage!!!
