Valentines Day

Opening Valentines cards & chocolates after school today
Kendall attacks Justin for hugs, which he agreed to, but
made me promise not to put online. He's not into admitting
consentual affection towards his sister :-)
Kendall and I painted pottery last week. This one was for
her daddy. Another piece is headed to Granny in Az...

At the request of the family, a heart shaped chicken pot
pie was made for dinner tonight, with "flaky boiling water
pie crust". I really do make a yummy home-made pot
pie!
Valentine's Day was a lovely day in our household. Kendall tracked back in today, chock full of home made valentines for her classmates and teachers (last year for such things). The kids got regular sized chocolate hearts for the first time this year (Keith and I are thinking this was a mistake- they weren't very friendly come bed-time, after eating several chocolates). They loved opening their cards from us and each other...so it was all good. Dinner was chicken pot pie in a heart shaped pan, with a big bowl of blue and blackberries on the side.
For special activities, Kendall and I read Nancy Drew together and Justin got to sleep in the attic to test it out...it may soon be his new bedroom, so we moved his mattress up there to be sure he was comfortable with the sounds of the heat turning on and off up there. If so, he will soon be a 12 year old with a 550 square foot bedroom, lucky guy!
Keith being super sweet today was the most wonderful Valentine's Day gift I could ask for. I had a great workout this morning, he went to body pump, then he took me out to lunch. The weather was a gorgeous 72 degrees. A most wonderful day! Happy Valentines Day ;-)
