Regarding "Jane Eyre"

Well, it took me til Sunday night at 11pm, but I finished "Jane Eyre". (moving, basketball games, soccer games, church, sheet shopping, tv shopping, laundry & dishes took priority).

I tried to finish all 60 pages when I was showered and done hauling stuff up & down stairs last night at 10pm, but I only made it through 20 pages before becoming comatose. So, at the end of today, when EVERYTHING else was done (cooking dinner included, as well as our first meal taken outside due to the 80 degree day), alas, me and my book reunited :) Interrupted three times by a Justin who was unable to fall asleep due to his new TV & XBox being hooked up in his room at bedtime.... I did eventually get it finished.

...and it was so worth the wait!! A fantastic novel, suprising me with mystery, suspense, romance, tragedy, courageousness, adventure; all a great book should entail. I am going to give my brain the night to absorb the conclusion of the book and then start "Moonflower Vine" tomorrow as it was so highly recommended that I can hardly wait to get it cracked open!

What did you think about the missionary? I can't remember his name, but I was irked that so much of the end of the book was devoted to him--it sort of came out of nowhere, I thought. Good book, though :). You should try *Rebecca*--it's similar to Jane Eyre, but I thought it was a little more readable. I didn't love the ending of that one, either, though. (Had to read both for a gothic lit. class.)

Love ya!
