Dumping Dinner Down the Drain

It is 5:48. I just walked into the kitchen to find dinner dumped in the sink. All of it. What the heck?

I took leftover bbq out of the freezer to thaw three hours ago. It was an all day affair the day I made it. Every bit of it made from scratch. It was good the day we ate it. We were going to have bbq on rolls tonight. Not anymore...

Keith thought I had set the container out to throw away, I guess. So, while I was upstairs, he was being "helpful" and dumped it in the sink. Oh, thank heavens for helpful husbands.

Maybe it was his way of saying he didn't want bbq sandwiches tonight..................... ;-)

I have to chuckle at this one Wendy :) A few weeks ago I cooked a huge pot of vegetable soup, but I cooked it on high and tried to make it get done too fast and it boiled over a bit and burned a little on the burners.. setting off the smoke alarm.. setting off my hormone infused self.. prompting me to call S and cry about how frustrated I was with my day. As soon as he came home I tearfully explained that the burner needed to be cleaned and then allowed myself to be shooed upstairs to lay down. Later that night when I was thanking him for taking car of everything, I mentioned that at least we would have dinner for tomorrow night (since it was too late when he got home to eat the soup.. and I wasn't feeling it anymore anyway). He suddenly looked uncomfortable.. he had misunderstood my instructions and had dumped the entire pot into the trash!!!! Helpful husbands are precious :) sorry for the epistle :)

Sarah, your story was equally entertaining/sad/funny as mine! Thanks for sharing :) Veggie soup sounds real good about now too, it's so chilly out...
