Sunday Night, soooo tired

We had a super fun, action packed weekend with wonderful fall weather that has left me ready for bed at only 7pm. We went to the local corn maze Friday afternoon with several families. There was so much more to do than just the corn maze, so we partook of it all: hayrides, corn cannon, giant tube swing, jumping on hay bails. For our entry price, we got to go back that evening to the HAUNTED corn maze!! I got out of it when someone offered to take Justin and Kendall back with them (was fighting a cold, so I was happy to rest). They had a blast, but said it was very "freaky". The hayride became haunted as well and included several chain-saw wielding people to chase them around.

I replaced my old slide cell with an iphone that arrived Friday, so much of Saturday was spent setting up (read: playing) with my new toy as well as updating contacts in my computer so it would sync my phone with only the relevant info on my computer. I LOVE it and have unfortunately become a texter...I know, I know; I said I never would, but I am hooked ;-)

Saturday night was a surprise birthday party for our good friend and neighbor Dave. He turned 50 two weeks ago. Julie told him their 22 year old daughter was hosting a bridal shower in order to get him out of the house. Keith and Justin ended up last minute decoys by going with Dave and Ray to get burgers at Five Guys while we all hunkered down in the house waiting to surprise him. It was SO fun and we got him good! Lots of laughs last night and great visiting with a house full of 50+ party-goers. I even stood side by side with my best bud and we texted each other- while standing right there together! (only for a brief moment- it was to make fun of teens everywhere!!) I came home at 11 to get the kids and myself tucked in bed while Keith stayed over there until 2:30 this morning.

He was a trooper and got up this morning when I woke him for church. We lunched after that before heading to Kendall's soccer game. It was actually chilly out today! Now the day is winding down and everyone is exhausted. Hopefully, I will be able to stay awake for my weekly trash TV (desperate housewives) before nodding off for a good nights sleep!
