Hamsters are not for us

As I sit here trying to unwind from the basketball national championship, I am hearing the not-so-faint sounds of Dave, the hamster, tirelessly running in his wheel. We are hamster sitting. Kendall's good friend went to Florida to visit her grandparents and asked us to watch the critter. Did you know the little things are nocturnal? Yep, it's true. He wakes up around 7:30 each night and spins in his wheel all night. We had to move him into our small tv room downstairs so we could sleep at night, because he runs ALL night long. This is why we won't be getting a hamster. Ever.
