anyone ever had a mouth that felt like ground beef?
grrrr. i hate the dentist! i am a dental hygienist who hates going to the dentist. unless i'm working. my sweet boss, who is doing three crowns on me, and i know will provide a wonderful end result; had me in the chair again yesterday for three and a half hours!!!! this time, it was to take impressions to make the permanent crowns that i need, which he didn't do the first time because he wanted to be sure i was asymptomatic from the one tooth where the filling was so deep. with all the tugging of my lips, holding of my tongue and cotton stuffed into my cheeks... more local anesthetic making my jaw muscle sore as it can be and packing cord into my gums THREE different times to take three different impressions, my mouth literally feels like ground beef! i am not a happy camper. thanks for listening :-)

Oh Wendy, I feel for you. I am such a baby about going to the dentist. I HATE it (don't mind having my teeth cleaned though). I have a new dentist and he is not gentle at all. The last time I left his office, my mouth was sore for three days. Yuck. I hope you feel better soon.
