Not sure what is happening with my days that I can't seem to find time to post. I am being kept very busy by a couple of teenagers who themselves are very busy.
I'm just about over winter and am ready for SPRING! We Spring Forward tomorrow night and I am ready. Even though I know it will take time to adjust (spring is always hardest for me for some reason). I look forward to more daylight at the end of the day. It makes me crave budding trees. We are nowhere close to that as we have had continual bouts of weather that is quite cold, rainy, icy, even snowy on occasion. I love me some snow, but I prefer to stick to one snow event per year. The kids have FIVE make up days due to cancellations…the county absolved two make up days. Crazy and very unusual for our area.
Keeping us busy would be Kendall's spring soccer season as well, Justin made the high school lacrosse team! This was a very exciting evening in our lives two weeks ago. So proud of him and his hard work!
Kendall's spring season with soccer is in full swing. She decided not to run track this year :( She holds a school record that she decided not to defend. I don't blame her, it would be a lot with her soccer schedule and school work. Justin is balancing three honors courses with 5 day a week practices and games. In addition to sports and academics, suddenly Kendall is being bombarded with boys interested in her. It's just about driving her nuts as she can be easily distracted. She's just about decided just to avoid entertaining the idea until high school, which is FINE with me. She has definitely matured in the past few months and is absolutely stunning, so I can't blame the boys for their interest. Lord help us!!!!
I began using essential oils several months ago. I have had such great successes, that I decided to share those experiences with others. Enthusiasm and the fact that they work has really helped this little side "surprise" business begin to take off and I am now receiving compensation to basically pay for my supply that I would be using for my family anyway. A very nice surprise :) My next goal is to attend the annual convention in September in Utah because I am so obsessed with gaining more knowledge. I have become very interested in holistic approaches (more and more all the time) and the fact that we haven't used an over-the-counter product OR an antibiotic in this house since August or longer…is pretty inspiring. So…I guess this is my new passion :) But…don't tell Keith about Utah…I don't want to mention to him until after the cruise…gotta take it slow with that man of mine.
As Friday night draws near to 11pm and I grow tired, I find myself taking pictures of Kendall and her two friends as the pose in pyramids, jump off tables, pose for "wall sits" to post on instagram…and Justin and 4 friends just came in from the movies. It's a full house, but a happy house. :)
Thanks for listening to this very random post!
