This morning, as I sit and have my coffee after the kids have left for school, I am pondering where the past fourteen years have gone. Justin is 14 today! I remember this day 14 years ago as if it were yesterday. I remember the weather. The visitors. The drive to the hospital. The excitement. The joy of meeting our first child. The shape of his little mouth when he cried. His tiny little feet. How I loved snuggling him and his baby smell!
Now I have a teenager who is taller than me. He is muscular and his feet are larger than mine! Instead of smelling like that baby he once was, he smells of cologne :) He will be getting his drivers permit in a year!! YIKES! He will be a high schooler soon. How has this happened already? Next thing I know, I will be attending his college graduation. Stop the clock already.
Justin has brought me 14 years of love, joy, entertainment and laughter. I love his sweet spirit and loving heart. His spunk and silliness are some of my favorite qualities. He is a beautiful person inside and out. I am so proud to be his mom!!
