It is the first day of September and possibly the last day we will have a leisurely day on the lake this season which makes me happily able to report that both kids are water skiing!! And skiing well, I might add.
Justin got up two weeks ago and after seeing him get up easily this afternoon, Kendall decided she'd like to try it as well and she got up on the first try. They both stayed up for several minutes each, even attempting crossing the wake.
Fearless, I tell you! Keith was beaming from ear to ear. Now they can all claim themselves skiers, and I can claim myself a former skier, since I haven't officially skied since I was a teenager :( Maybe I will try again before the weather gets cool...the last time I attempted was BC (before children). I swear I almost drowned myself that day on a beautiful Tennessee lake!
It is so cool to see the kids have some of the same experiences Keith and I had as kids. So very cool!
