after working out with my lovely trainer/neighbor/friend...janine this morning, where she managed to render my muscles useless for the rest of friday and very likely through the weekend....i decided to sit outside for 4.5 hours in the heat so that justin and company could play airsoft in durham- in the middle of nowhere, on a 100 degree day with what felt like 100 percent humidity.
mom of the year? i think so!!
thankfully i had a shaded deck to sit on. thankfully it was only 4.5 hours. there was an occasional breeze. and an occasional wasp. not fond of the wasps.
but, in the name of fun and excitement for my formerly known "baby guy" now known as "teenage guy"...no question asked. bonding. appreciation. would sweat all day long for the opportunity to be with my guy and whatever friends are in tow. hands down.
he had a great time. everyone did. i finished my current read while sweating in the shade out there swatting wasps. wonderful day. even if i did feel dirtier than i might have ever felt in my life. do it again? in a heartbeat!
gotta meet those teens where they are and love 'em for who they are.
