Day 1= Jordan Lake for some boating, swimming and tubing!

Connor also drove the boat and did an excellent job.
Everyone enjoyed swimming in the lake, it was very refreshing for a most humid day. We got rained on three or four times, but not thunder, so we continued on with our fun.
Connor was fearless on the tube. The kids were in the process of standing up in this photo. Because simply riding wasn't challenging enough :)
Tarik couldn't wait for her turn. She loved it and she loved swimming.
We stopped at the beach for some swimming and sand castle building!

We stopped at the beach for some swimming and sand castle building!Our first day with Summer, David, Connor, Holden, and Tarik was fun filled. We had a leisurely morning at home and then packed up some sandwiches and headed for the lake. Everyone had fun, even the few rain showers that popped up didn't spoil our mood. The kids were troopers, especially considering their LONG night after greeting each other at 12:30 a.m. and running out some last minute energy together, all in the name of cousin excitement :) In fact, it looks as if the trend for the weekend will be "sleepover theme", which in our house means staying up really, really late. It's 12:40 a.m. and they are just settling down! Lovin' this visit and can't wait for tomorrow......
