awards ceremony

Justin's math, social studies, science and language arts teachers.

A nice, healthy (not) snack after the ceremony.

Justin getting his award for A/B honor roll.

These are all the kids on Justin's team (160 of 'em)

Today was the sixth grade awards ceremony for first quarter academic achievements. Keith, Kendall and I all attended. Each "team" had their own ceremony as it would be too many kids and too many parents to host at one time, as each team consists of about 160 kids. As an example, pick up for the sixth grade dance last Friday caused a backup getting into the school parking lot that had me scooting my way there for 25 minutes...there are a lot of sixth graders.
Justin had fun being out of classes and eating donuts instead...but it's funny how in 6th grade, the kids don't quite want you around as much as they used to! He barely acknowledged us as being related to him!! We saw some of the kids come in and scowl when they saw their parents there...at least we weren't scowled at...yet.
