AWWWW, Shucks!

Well, well, well. Isn't it just like Florida State to choke when playing Miami? Same story, different year? They can get the ball to the two yard line with only seconds to go and.... do nothing!! I didn't really watch the game, as my mom and Riad arrived an hour before game time, so we were eating dinner and visiting. But, I did watch Keith's reactions. After turning in for the night, I turned on the TV in our room and watched them drive the ball down field during that last possession. Once they had it to the 2 yd line with, what, 17 seconds left, I had to turn it off. Couldn't watch. I just lay in the dark listening for the recliner to quickly slam shut while simultaneously hearing a muffled yelp and some clapping and stomping (all would mean they made the touchdown)- it's the same every game- the happy Keith reaction. But, seconds passed and then a minute with no sound. Not a good sign. Then five minutes. Nothing. Then I fell asleep. When Keith came to bed an hour later, I cheerfully asked, "how'd it go?". The answer was as I suspected. A loss. First game. Against Miami. What's new?
