Kitchen Failures

I've had some disappointments in the kitchen this week. Failures if you will. I have become slightly crazed with cooking CLEAN foods, mainly vegetarian meals, from scratch, using whole grains, minimizing white flour and sugar, and using whatever I can that is organic. I am also perhaps overly using brand new recipes rather than repeating some successes. But, it's tempting because there are SO many recipes out there...I want to try them all! Last night's was such a let down, that I am giving my family an old stand-by tonight. A chicken casserole that they love. I'll use organic, free range, vegetarian fed, hormone free chicken, and the dish will still be healthful. They deserve a favorite comfort dish tonight for what they endured last night. (It was spaghetti (whole wheat) with broccolini, walnuts and ricotta) They loved the homemade bread that I made to go with it :)

Today, I will regroup. I will dig through some of those recipes that were well received by the family, and make a few. But, there is ONE new recipe I was really looking forward to making, and I'm not sure I can resist it...peas, carrots & tempeh with miso almond sauce. Mmmmm...
you'd eat it, wouldn't you??!!
