what a lovely week this has been! i am so chill, that i am not even going to capitalize anything! after getting the kids off to school, i enjoyed a cup of coffee and spent some time reading & meditating over a great devotion from Jesus Calling. i then made my current favorite smoothie: almond butter, oatmeal, banana, almond milk. at 9, i headed down the street for a KILLER workout with my trainer. can i just add that she is amazing? the things she can come up with to challenge a person's body just blows my mind. try sitting on a step bench stacked two high, with one leg straight in front of you and go from sitting to standing with that leg kept straight out in front of you. nearly impossible. then, try sitting back down without falling, all the while keeping that same leg out in front of you. i looked like an 80 year old trying to accomplish this, while janine made it look as easy as walking across a room. it's my goal to make it look that easy too. someday.
the remainder of the day included another trip to the store. fresh market this time, as i needed some lump crab meat for crab cakes tomorrow as well as some produce. my day included sitting in the sun for 15 minutes on the deck, listening to the birds chirp in the backyard, it included catching up on laundry again :) and it included a 20 minute catnap.
all this makes me feel like a woman of luxury! staying in town after back to back short trips has been great for getting caught up on life. i guess i got caught up just in time as this week ahead is going to be hopping. work four days for me, keith gone most of the week AND an evening out with the office one night this week.
i am glad i enjoyed it while i could......
