a cold, rainy halloween did not spoil their fun

Kendall & Kierney as mustard & ketchup

Costumes they created themselves with 50 cent clothing pieces from goodwill!

Justin master-minded this haunted house in our garage with six friends involved, five of the seven shown here.

Not for the faint-of-heart...this is Justin's station where he sat "eating" these body parts. Ewwww.

Never do I remember it raining on halloween. Add to that, it was cold...made for a miserable night to be outside. It didn't deter our kids or the hundreds of others that stopped by last night. Keith and I posted ourselves outside so we could give candy to the little ones who might not otherwise have made their way to the front door due to the strobe light, foggy aired, scary music, blood and gore that was our garage and driveway. Justin had big plans to put on a haunted house, recruited several friends and all day Monday, they worked on the transformation into spook-ville. It was a hit! People were spreading the word and kids approached yelling "this is it!" Tons of screams carried through the night sky as the boys successfully brought horror and mayhem to Highcroft Drive.

Kendall paired up with her good friend Kierney to head out as Ketchup and Mustard. Even their hair matched their costumes. They looked SO cute. Best of all, they made their costumes themselves. Both of my kids had their creative juices flowing yesterday.

We were happy to wrap it up by 9pm, and finally come inside and warm up and eat some dinner. The kids were wiped out, especially Justin. They slept hard last night :)

Wow! You're right, they did get creative! Justin'e haunted house is pretty impressive! And I've been wanting to see a picture of Miss Kendall since yesterday morning when she texted me and let me know she was going to be mustard--I was wondering how that could be pulled off!! I hope Justin's feeling better by now!
