I am worrying that I will become uninspired to continue blogging if I don't post something, though I haven't really had any interesting stories to share. No brilliant insights. No major life happenings (sometimes that's a good thing!). There are people who we don't get to visit with very often. They pretty much use this blog to catch up on life with the N.C. Wooleries :) I am so sorry for not updating better!
August was truly the most insanely busy time I think I've ever experienced. I thought after the infant/toddler years, things would calm down. But, I've found each stage of mothering actually gets busier and busier the older the kids get. They want to go places. With friends in tow. They need rides. They have sports commitments, school commitments, social commitments. Then, moms go back to work part time. Husbands travel. A lot. That was my August. C-R-A-Z-Y.
I don't even think I have mentioned Justin's injury. Once starting football practices in August, he managed to break a pinkie. Right in the joint. Surgery was necessary to fix it. He's had pins sticking out of his finger since. He hasn't been able to play football, practice guitar, try out for school sports, swim, boat, tube or do anything involving use of two hands since mid-August. I never dreamed a finger could cause so much trouble. He gets his pins out Wednesday, FINALLY. I am looking for someone to take him to that appointment because I am afraid to! Volunteers, anyone?!?! I am afraid it's going to hurt and I don't know if I can bear to see it :(
I had to watch him get three shots in the finger and have the doctor reset it- bad enough. I had to watch him go into surgery two days before school started- not fun. Though he was quite funny coming out of anesthesia. We are ready to return to normal two-handed life around here!
Kendall & Justin have both been middle school students for three weeks now. They both love it (especially the social side of middle school life). They are both honor roll students early on. This thrills me. Kendall needs nightly studying (unlike her brother), so we are learning all sorts of 6th grade topics whether we want to or not. :) She really rocks by studying this method though...so we do it happily.
I am staying busy working anywhere from one to three days a week. It is so nice to be in an office full of really wonderful people and with bosses who are not stressful and are completely honest people. I am loving it!
We are cruising to the Bahamas in February with Keith's parents to celebrate their 60th anniversary. It will be a first cruise to all except me ( I did a short spring break cruise with my mom the spring break of my senior year to Mexico). Everyone is looking forward to it. It coincides with a long weekend for the kids and I think everyone will enjoy a trip to warm sunshine by February.
Well, I got chattier than expected considering I had so little to say :) I feel less stressed having updated the blog, even if was a bit rambling.
Oh- and happy FALL, y'all!!

Miss you! Glad those pins are coming out, and wish we lived close enough to take Justin to his appointment for you :). It sounds to me like you've already seen the worst of it though! Love you all.
