Justin, Kendall and I spent the weekend in Winston-Salem with Kendall's soccer team where they played in the "beat the heat" tournament. Even though they lost all three games, (two by a very close score and one really bad call) they were playing all classic teams which is a division higher than theirs and played some excellent soccer. Kendall took out two goalies this weekend! They had plenty of time for socializing, we had a team dinner and celebrated team-mate Savannah's birthday with cake and singing. Justin was an absolute trooper and hung with all the girls without complaint and was encouraging towards his sister. This team has such a good group of parents for the most part and most of my favorites were there this weekend. Our next tournament is in Wilmington in three weeks and coach anticipates we have an excellent chance of winning in our age group since we will play all challenge teams, which is our level of play. Can't wait for that one and more than that, Kendall can't wait to have another 13 girl sleepover for the weekend!! :)
